Today we travelled to Edinburgh. Wow, now this is a tourist city... with the Royal Mile, which is a long narrow road of shops and pubs leading up to Edinburgh Castle.
This Castle is massive overlooking all of Edinburgh high up on a solid mountain of lava rocks from an ancient volcano. We took a guided tour which was a 30 minute walk outside. Rain began just as the tour started and never stopped until well after the tour ended.
The weather here has been around 13 - 14 degrees Celsius, but fortunately we expected this, so when we travel around we have umbrellas, extra warm clothing and our golfing wet jackets to help keep us dry and warm.
We are enjoying some of your comments and having a great time.
Doesn't weather just have the best timing! Good thing you guys were prepared! Plus you're getting the real Scottish experience! I love the pictures, I can't wait to see the rest! Hopefully the weather is better for you tomorrow. Enjoy your adventures tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteSo that's what the crown jewels are!! Thanks! Missed you today as we took in a Blue Jays game with Debbie and Bill. In the heat and humidity. Yes! But we have to admit we all would much rather be sharing those wonderful adventures with you two. Keep on having fun!
