Too much fun, we are Australian!

Our group is a small group, there are only 26 people on this tour, one from Shanghai, 2 from New Zealand, Barb and I (the only 2 Canadians), and the rest are from Australia.  So let's start at the beginning of the day.

We left Mannheim, Germany and headed to Munich. In Germany, Sunday is a day of rest, stores are all closed so while we toured the older part of Munich, the only stores open were the beer houses and some cafe's for food.  This was okay but we were hoping to pick up some souvenir's.  The city is very nice, we found some great churches and older buildings dating back over 200 years.  Some even still had the bullet markings from World War II.

It was another long day of travelling so after Munich we headed back on the road to Innsbruck Austria.  The Alps are something to see.

Many of the towns here and in parts of Germany, are small and at the base of the mountains. Innsbruck is small and very pretty, so when we arrived, we all had dinner at our hotel, then most of us went out to a Tyrolian Show to watch local singing, dancing and music.  Yes there was yodeling, and I know what you are thinking, but these performers were very good. There were comical numbers including one about a cow where the singer started with a deep moooo and moved into a high pitched yodel. Everyone laughed so much.

At the end of the show they sang songs of many countries, Yankee Doodle for the USA, other songs like this for the other countries and for Canada it was Frere Jacques ( Are you Sleeping ). People stood up when their Nation was announced, for Canada there was Barb and I, and 3 others from Ottawa and Markham.  Next came New Zealand where "our couple" danced and finally Australia.  Barb and I stood with them as well ... we are all partying so well together!  We shared a bus back to the Hotel with a Korean group and I'm sure they did not know what the hell was going on when this rowdy bunch headed to the back of the bus full of beer, wine and laughter. The group now has a new motto.  We visit everything twice, once to have fun and the second time to apologize!!!

Tomorrow we head to Venice but we will return to Austria in a couple more days to spend time in Vienna.

Oh and here is the view from our Hotel tonight right outside our window.  This trip is awesome!
